That didn’t take long! It’s been barely 24 hours, and already VP Biden has caused a headache for his boss, jabbing Chief Justice John Roberts over the oath-of-office flub.

At a swearing-in ceremony today for senior White House staff, Biden, apparently unaware that he would be administering the oath of office to the staffers, “joked”:

“My memory isn’t as good as Justice Roberts’.”

The attempt at humor was not lost on the crowd, which reacted with nervous laughter, one person emitting a long “oh-h-h-h-h!”
