Gillibrand’s Immigration Gobbledygook

gillibrandSure, it’s early yet.  Only the first day of February.  Lots of time for someone to overtake her.  But let’s recognize that Kirsten Gillibrand has taken the lead for the worst piece of political gobbledygook of this young year.

As per the Associated Press, here’s what the newly-anointed senator from New York, billed as a “conservative” Democrat, had to say after emerging from a meeting with Latino leaders who had been peeved about her immigration policies:

We need to recognize the heritage that the immigrant community has provided to this country and put policies in place that will reflect that core value.

Say what?

She’s later quoted as saying:

I think that on some issues my position will change – and on others they will become broader.

Absolutely Churchillian in her defiant steadfastness, no?  I’m predicting that, in time to stave off a primary challenge from the left, Gillibrand will complete her metamorphosis from “conservative” Dem into cookie-cutter liberal.

    I agree Mark.

I also have always thought she would vote completely with whatever Fearless Leader puts on the floor.

I’m waiting to see if/when some bill/amendment comes up that has to do with the 2nd Amendment in any way, shape or form….then seeing how these people vote, including some from Mt. and the new Dem. Senator from Ak. for example.

Same with Burris and other so-called moderates/centrists…including RINOs like Collins and Snowe btw.

It’s all BS in the end.

Do get maddening, but oh so typical.

    Liberal psychobabble. Gotta love it.

Wow, those Latino leaders rolled her like a 10 cent cigar. I wonder how well she will hold up when the gun-grabbers come knocking?
