GMA Piece On Unemployed Pictures Only People of Pallor

I suppose it could have been a coincidence.  But the MSM normally exhibits such an exquisite sense of political correctness in choosing which people to feature in its segments.  So when a Good Morning America segment on people who have recently lost their jobs focused exclusively on melanin-deficient folks, it made me wonder.  Was there some kind of motive at work?

ABC correspondent John Berman narrated the segment.  It told the tale of seven people.  Roger Olsen, Lee Sakellarides, Doreen Baird, Karen Albert, Dori Martin and two unidentified folks all had something in common beyond being members of the newly unemployed.  They were all people of pallor.

Now again, it might all have been been just the luck of the draw.  But given the “subliminable” messages the MSM normally likes to send with its choice of pictured people, I can’t help but wonder if something else was at play.  So what about it?  Am I making something out of nothing, or was ABC trying to say something, and if so, what?

I think it reflects the reporting crew’s familiarity outside the newsroom. For all their talk, they really only know people of pallor.

I hear you, yet they do seem capable of finding other folks when it suits their political agenda.

Whoever put the segment together may find him/herself unemployed for the incompetence of producing a non-diverse segment of hte population

Honestly, I may be a little hard-hearted but I lost my job some years ago and didn’t cry or moan about it … just freshened up the ole resume and hit the pavement.

Granted, the market isn’t that good, but there ARE jobs if one is competent, hardworking, and willing to take a lower salary and/or possibly defer perks. We have a large part of our population now that doesn’t have a clue about living through down markets or ‘doing without.’ Man, do they have a lot to learn!

To be fair, you have to first have a job before you can lose it.

Yeah, Edinva, I guess I was. But let’s face it, it’s hard enough to find a liberal who has ever held a job. If you are screening them for ethnicity it could take a while, and it’s unlikely GMA will be featuring any conservatives in their ongoing ‘victim’ series.
