‘I Love You, Barack’

Wall Street might have blown Barack Obama a big collective raspberry for the underwhelming performance of his Treasury Secretary yesterday, but there are clearly still some passionate fans of the president out there.

The emotional highlight of yesterday’s town hall in Ft. Myers, Florida occurred when a woman described herself as homeless and asked the president for help.

Pres. Obama asked the woman’s name, embraced her, and promised to do everything he could to help her.  The president’s display of compassion manifestly moved another woman in the audience.  Keep your eye on the woman in white in the left-hand side of the frame.

The audio is very faint, but the lip-reading leaves little doubt that she was saying: “I love you, Barack.”

This is almost painful to watch. If that were my wife I’d divorce her.

If it were my sister I’d have a chat with her. Hero worship is so unbecoming to middle aged people.

Jeez! You might expect this from a 14 year old groupie.

Hi Chuck: It was embarrassing, particularly since Pres. Obama’s display of compassion seemed pretty pro forma, the kind of thing he was virtually obliged to do under the circumstances.

Some of you may be familiar with my posts on other sites, where I often refer to members of the DumbMass Society, or some variation thereof.

The woman pictured in that video above is the Chairperson ‘o the Board of that organization.

This guy here is the poster boy for same:

There appears to be a large number of people in this country with decidedly empty lives.

    How sad.
