GMA Doesn’t Mention ‘Immigrant’ Chandra Suspect An Illegal

As soon as I heard the report on Good Morning America today describing a possible suspect in the murder of Chandra Levy as an “immigrant,” my antenna went up.  So, was he a high-tech worker, here on a H-1B visa? Or perhaps a permanent resident, proud holder of a green card?  Somehow I didn’t think so.

It took all of 15 seconds to Google out this Washington Post article stating that the possible suspect, Ingmar A. Guandique,  is an illegal immigrant. But GMA didn’t bother to mention that inconvenient fact.

ABC’s Pierre Thomas narrated the segment, which began with Chandra’s parents standing outside their Modesto, California home, saying they’d been informed that an arrest could be imminent.   They indicated they thought they knew who the suspect is but didn’t want to name him at that time.

PIERRE THOMAS:  Last night Levy’s parents did not confirm the name of a suspect, but they hinted at his identity.

MR. LEVY: Yeah, it’s been a suspect for a long time.

THOMAS:  The likely suspect, according to sources: Salvadorean immigrant Ingmar Guandique, who has long been a person of interest in the case.

Given that Guandique has been in the news for years, and his identity as an illegal well known, why do you think ABC decided to omit that fact?

Note: speaking of inconvenient truths, GMA also omitted the fact that Gary Condit, with whom Chandra had a romantic relationship, was a Democrat.  ABC referred to him only as “Congressman Gary Condit.”

    For the same reason the MSM cannot bring itself to ID terrorists as being Muslim most of the time-such as when they reported on the “disaffected youths” who were rioting and torching automobiles all over France a while back.

    Political Correctness is now the order of the day.

    My personal favorite was when the MSM referred to Muslim terrorists as “Asian men.”

    Frankly, most of the MSM is rather supportive of illegal aliens entering this country.

    Remember their almost unanimous support for the Scamnesty bill?

    The MSM is not about to report certain facts that might just result in more and more Americans questioning just why it is all these people are in this country in the first place.
