I’m anything but a Christian scholar, but when, watching Morning Joe today, I heard Barack Obama in his weekly address this past weekend making the statement above, it rang a New Testament bell with me.  A bit of Googling revealed the words set forth from the Gospel of Matthew.

I see some eerie similarities. Is it just me, or might our president be taking all this Messiah talk seriously?
