Cramer Crushes Obama’s ‘Radical Agenda’

Jim Cramer is a man of the markets.  But he’s also a self-confessed Democrat.  So when he pulverizes the president’s plans, there’s no partisan impulse in play.

On this morning’s Today, Cramer described President Obama as having a “radical agenda” that is “the greatest wealth destruction I’ve seen by a president.”

A bit later, Cramer foresaw the possibility of a depression, and called on the president to mend his ways.

MATT LAUER: A lot of people are saying we’re moving past a recession, we’re going into a depression, but it doesn’t have to be the “Great Depression” that we’ve all read about and talked about. It could be a mild depression. What would that look like?

JIM CRAMER: I call it “garden-variety” depression, to distinguish it from the 30% unemployment in 1932. We’re not going to get that. We have FDIC, we have an insurance policy called Social Security. It won’t come to that.  It won’t come to civil unrest [unlike what Zbig Brzezinski is predicting].  But we do have to change the attitude of the president.  To go from being, what I would call a radical agenda to something that’s slower, recognizing that times are bad.

Chuck Todd, NBC’s chief White House correspondent, reported this morning that the White House is “ecstatic” over Republican in-fighting.  But the Obama administration won’t be able to spin Cramer’s warnings away as partisan talk.  So what’s its response?

LOL-Cramer better be careful, or they will take away his DNC magic decoder ring.

My guess is the White House, should they bother to respond at all, will try to make Cramer out to be a kook. The average Obama voter won’t know the difference, anyway.

The Obamanistas can rejoice all they like about the (long overdue) infighting going on in the Republican Party, because should it produce the result most of us are hoping for, the democrats are going to be toast in 2010.

    Maybe.
