Hillary’s Grotesque Elian Gonzalez Analogy

Is Hillary Clinton still feeling defensive about the decision her husband made, and she supported, to return Elian Gonzalez to Cuba?  Why else would she make a grotesque analogy between that case and the situation of a boy being kept in Brazil against the wishes of his American father?

The Today show highlighted the case this morning of Bruce Goldman and his biological son, Sean.  The  boy’s mother, then Goldman’s wife, took Sean to her native Brazil in 2004.  She divorced Goldman, married another man, then died.  The second husband refuses to return Sean to Goldman.

Andrea Mitchell interviewed Clinton, who is working for Sean’s return, about the case. In the course of their conversation, Clinton, without prompting, suddenly sought to draw a parallel to the Gonzalez situation . . .

HILLARY CLINTON: They have an independent judiciary like we have an independent judiciary.  You know, sometimes we’re on the receiving end about families elsewhere in the world.  We all remember the Elian Gonzalez case, where there was a tremendous hue and cry in our own country not to send that little boy back to his father in Cuba.  At the time, I took the same position.

The same position?  Need Hillary be reminded that Elian arrived in this country thanks to the brave efforts of his mother, who died fleeing communist Cuba in order to give herself and her son a chance for freedom in America?  For Hillary to attempt to to justify her husband’s actions and her support of them by analogizing the Gonzalez case to a Brazilian custody battle gone wrong, is shameful.

It is far more than shameful…something I truly don’t think many leftist even are capable of feeling in any way, shape or form.

I will never, ever, forget that morning when they took Elian, by force at gunpoint and the jack-booted style was despicable, and to top it off, my heart went out to all of the family who were so hurt by all of this and the tactics that were done to them by the Clinton Team…something I am so sure Reno is real proud of too…like Waco.

How they even sleep at night is beyond me, let alone look at their reflections in the mirror in the morning.

The pathology of a Clinton never ceases to amaze me.

Reno was amateur hour at the Justice Dept. I doubt she loses sleep, because I doubt she still isn’t aware of our laws.

On a lighter note, I cannot see that image without thinking of the South Park spoof of it that ran the same week (I believe) as it happened. Funny, funny stuff, and I was never a huge SP fan.

Lastly, congrats on your site Mark. I’ve been lurking since you announced it at NBers. Best of luck in your continued success.

Of all the things that Billy Jeff did that truly disgusted me, none of them even approached the Clinton “Justice” Department acting as Fidel Castro’s kidnapper.

Aside from the five AQ attacks carried out against this country, this was truly one of America’s darkest hours during the Clinton years.

    The other was Waco.
