Somewhere, William Safire is smiling. The nattering nabobs of negativism ride again!
On this evening’s Fox News Watch, panelist Jim Pinkerton cast White House press secretary Robert Gibbs as the Spiro Agnew of the Obama administration. It was Nixon VP Agnew who famously used speechwriter Safire’s archetype of alliteration to condemn media critics. Now it’s Gibbs striking out at Obama critics, from Rush Limbaugh to Rick Santelli to Jim Cramer.
JIM PINKERTON: Robert Gibbs, the press secretary, takes a shot at somebody in the media all the time now. Spiro Agnew did it for the right 40 years ago, and now the left is doing it.
There was another remarkable moment in this evening’s show . . .
In the opening, as host Jon Scott talked about “the left” taking shots at Rush, the screencap shown here appeared on the screen. You’ll recognize the fellow I’ve circled in the upper left, of course. That’s ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, of course, who is pictorially placed by FNC with his phone buddies of the left, Carville, Begala and WH Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

Excuse the phrase here…but nothing is ever going to be done about the circle-jerk leftist mouth-pieces and all the ties/connections with the leftist party and the msm…
Nothing!
We all know they have been getting their daily talking points within the majority of the msm for years now, going on decades actually…all the talking heads and their reporters use the same phrases depending on the story, but is is always the same phrases on the different networks…
What a spider-web that has been carefully weaved for decades now…no doubt about it…and if you think it would have been allowed with the repub party like this…
I have beach-front property for sale on the high desert.
