You Promised: Go Back To Kansas, Bob

2009-03-31sebeliusdolekennedy“I will go on to the White House or go back to Kansas.” — from Bob Dole’s speech resigning from the Senate during his 1996 presidential campaign

Even if it’s 13 years late, make good on your promise, Bob.  Give up your Watergate apartment and go back to Kansas.  Please.

The photo here could be seen as Exhibit ‘A’ from the pathologist’s report.  No, not of Ted Kennedy’s affliction, but of DC Swamp Fever, Washington-itis, or whatever you want to call the disease that overtakes politicians who, like a lonesome Brokeback cowboy, just can’t quit the town.

So there’s Bob Dole, at today’s confirmation hearing for Kathleen Sebelius, sitting next to her. Sure, it’s nice to support a fellow Jayhawker.  But Dole’s presence also signified support for Ted Kennedy’s dream of government takeover of health care.

Can you remember when you stood for conservative principles, Bob?   Did you ever?  I’m guessing you’d be happier in Kansas.  I’m positive a lot of us would be with you there.

    Mark…

    OMG!

I am so glad I ditched watching anything on C-SPAN today.

Whether you believe me or not I am just simply shaking my head….what happens to these people besides the side-affects of Botox…insane….just insanity run amok.

    I want to scream.

He and Elizabeth need to just go off into the sunset and leave us alone.

Perfect replica of what has happened to the republican party.

As pathetic and infuriating as it is predictable, isn’t it? How does someone go from being a strong, straightforward Kansas boy, a WWII hero, to such a stereotypical creature of the Beltway?

By the way as an add on real quick here…I do not for the life of me understand how he can support a so-called woman who supports someone like Tiller the Baby Killer …let alone her little snafu with the back taxes her and her husband owed and she just hurriedly fixed…which is seeming to be what qualifies you to be confirmed in the dem party just fine.

Where is the outrage from the msm about this like there would be if this was a ‘R’ being confirmed and having tax-problems once again from the Bush admninistration…this is like their third or fourth person with tax problems….guess they have figured they will wear us done as it is normal…’do as I say not as I do’ type of lifestyle as we bend over and do as told regarding our taxes.

I don’t believe for one minute this wasn’t vetted and known before-hand…and the msm is doing what they hoped for, planned, so are the American people.

    Nobody is going to care.

She’ll be confirmed with Hatch singing her praises…like he has others that should never have been confirmed.

Yep, they have been in the Foggy-Bottom far too long….and we cannot rid ourselves of any of them it seems.

    You are so right!
Michelle Malkin had a big posting on her website some time ago entitled:
“Someone stop Orrin Hatch! Please. Hurry!”

That was after he praised Holder and then Geithner. There’s no reason to hope that he won’t swoon over Sebelius.
