It happened on today’s Morning Joe. Discussing Pres. Obama’s announced plans to address the immigration issue, Andrea Mitchell claimed that “there didn’t seem to be as much anger about immigration.” Retorted Pat Buchanan: “just you wait and see!”
When Buchanan went on to make the point that “illegal aliens” are taking American jobs, Mitchell jumped in to reprimand him.
ANDREA MITCHELL: Immigrants. Immigrants. Aliens come from outer space.
The screencap shows Andrea pointing to that outer space whence aliens come. Mitchell might have political correctness on her side. Buchanan has the law. Aliens might come from outer space, but they landed in . . . the Code of Federal Regulations. “Alien” is the term employed there, as in, e.g., 8 CFR PART 1236 — APPREHENSION AND DETENTION OF INADMISSIBLE AND DEPORTABLE ALIENS
If that’s too legalistic for Andrea, of course there’s always the good old dictionary, which defines “alien,” among other things, as “an unnaturalized foreign resident of a country.”
But who cares about the law or the English language? It’s off to Political Re-education Camp for Buchanan. Pat better hope he doesn’t wind up subject to Sgt. Mitchell’s tender mercies.

How can we be sure Andrea herself didn’t come from somewhere beyond the heavens? Sometimes I wonder.
As for the next “comprehensive” immigration reform bill, I am not sure what they will call it this time around, but you can bet there will be some mechanism contained within to ensure that those who have invaded our country illegally will be able to shortly cast votes in our elections.

No, Andrea, an alien is someone who comes from outside your country. Two thousand years ago, Jesus spoke of “the alien who lives with you.”
The Merriam-Webster online dictionary makes NO MENTION of outer space in its definition of “alien.”
Just another example of changing the language.
Harry Reid even called them “undocumented Americans!!” (they are Americans, just like you and me; they just don’t have documents to prove it!)

Pat is right…bloodbath indeed with the midterm elections in ‘10.
I hope others fight like mad to their congress-critters before this vote comes up…you have to get in touch with them…in any way you can…early and often…right up to the end.
There will be RINOs who vote for this too…McC led the way last time on the ‘R’ side of the aisle.
This is more madness.
…and I am exactly that…MAD as hell and not going to take it anymore…
