On today’s Morning Joe, Mike Barnicle blasted the NY Times as the “most hypocritical media company in the world” for what he sees as the Gray Lady’s bullying of the employees at its subsidiary, the Boston Globe.
For good measure, Barnicle thundered “read your own editorials, Mr. Sulzberger!” That was Barnicle’s way of saying that the Times’ lofty rhetoric about workers’ rights is given the lie by the heavy-handed tactics he accuses the Times of using to wring concessions from Globe employees.
The blaring headline from today’s Globe that Barnicle’s holding up reads “Agree Or Else, Globe Tells Unions,” by the way.
