Yesterday on Morning Joe, as noted here, Joe Scarborough described the members of the White House press corps as being “in love” with Pres. Obama to the extent that at the big dinner this past Saturday night that PBO attended, they were like “a bunch of teenage girls waiting for a Bay City Rollers concert, waiting to scream at the top of their [lungs].”
Not merely did Mika agree, she added another tasty morsel to the stew, revealing that behind the scenes, the TV production crew–big Obama fans too–scrambled to show the most flattering shots of the prez and First Lady.
This morning, Mika was back on her bias-busting beat, accusing a leading inside-the-Beltway MSMer of Obama-love. Mike Allen of Politico made his regular appearance during the opening hour to share his must-read Morning Playbook. It must be something of a slow news day, because among the items mentioned was a “Poetry Slam” to be held at the White House featuring James Earl Jones and a rapper from Chicago’s South Side.
When Willie Geist wondered what the difference was between a poetry “slam” and a mere “reading,” here’s how Allen responded.
MIKE ALLEN: It’s a fine distinction from a poety jam, but I think, if the President’s there, whatever it is, it’s cool.
Mika wasted no time in winging Allen.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Oh wow. Why don’t you just say you love him?
Ouch. Good on Mika!

Being “fair and balanced” is the only way to get anyone to watch you. She knows what she’s doing. She’s gunning for success and not mediocrity.

LOL-Nice to see that not everyone in the MSM has been totally blinded by the light of the Obamessiah.
I wonder if Mike Allen will still be so enamored with Obama when the economy continues to tank even further, gas prices hit the roof again this summer, unemployment is at 12%, and inflation rears its ugly head in earnest in about a year.
