Larry O’Donnell: Cheney Speech Sleaziest Since Spiro

Larry O’Donnell calls his political opponents liars just to clear his throat.  Appearing on MNSBC, he was apparently feeling pressure to outdo himself in attacking Dick Cheney’s forceful speech on national security today.  While O’Donnell did lard his comments with accusations of lying, he also went retro, claiming Cheney’s speech was the sleaziest by a veep since Spiro Agnew.

Oh, and for good measure he called it an “absolute abomination.”

LARRY O’DONNELL: He came today obviously to do nothing much other than to defend torture, which he calls “tough questioning.”  This was as sleazy a presentation by a Vice-President as we’ve had since Spiro Agnew.  This was an absolute abomination.

Pat Buchanan sagely observed that the vehemence of O’Donnell’s reaction was a testament to the effectiveness of Cheney’s remarks.
